Coby DP 882 8 Inch Digital Photo Frame with Built In MP3 Player

Those old photo frames atop your dresser, desk, nightstand, and on your walls are vignettes of memories captured as prints in the era of film cameras. The digital-camera makes available a technology where photos don’t have to be displayed as prints. They’re displayed on screen, much like that of a TV set or a computer monitor. This frame uses LCD flat-panel technology and, at 2-1/4″ deep, fits almost anywhere a standard frame would. The difference – this frame is not limited to display only 1 or a few pictures. A digital picture frame can display dozens (if not hundreds) of images off a digital-memory card.
Here’s a dandy way to display all those digital photos you’re accumulating. Display one or all (in slideshow mode) directly from an SD, MMC, xD, or CompactFlash memory card. It’s a great way to view your favorites on a table or on a wall – just like a regular picture frame. Yet COBY DP882 adds a unique feature. It has built-in speakers so you can play MP3 and WMA music files from your memory cards. You can even create photo slideshows with music. The DP882 has a USB port that lets you play photos stored on digital media drives. Its LED backlit screen delivers bright images for viewing in almost any situation.
This is a perfect frame to give to your parents and grandparents. Let them see pictures of you all the time from a memory card you provide them. It has a dual-volt AC adapter for international capability. Plays Most MP4 and AVI Video Files from Digital Cameras Photo Slideshow with or without Music AV Output for play through with Home Theater Systems SD – MMC – xD – CF Card Slots Full-Size USB Port for use with Flash Memory Drives USB Port for Fast File Transfers Integrated Stereo Speakers Interchangeable Faceplate (Black or White) to match your decor Detachable Stand Table use or Wall Mountable

5 Stars fast and reliable…great CF card!
I just got back from Kenya where I was shooting photos for my work and also took a lot of personal photos while on a safari. This card was great! I didn’t have any problems and never had to wait for the card to catch up to me. I took nearly 800 photos in RAW without having to fumble around swapping cards while bouncing along in the Maasai Mara. I highly recommend this card.
1 Star Extremely bad customer service
I had one of these cards burn up while downloading pictures. So I lost about 350 images.
But getting the card replaced turned into a LOT of messages back and forth from the “Customer Service” department. They just keep sending stock “Trouble shooting” tips instead of reading my messages or issuing and RMA. They don’t seem to have any intention of replacing the card. And at this point, I’m just going to post the card on the wall of our rental studio with a printout of all the messages from the “support team”
Maybe the 300+ people who use the studio will get the message, never buy Sandisk again.
I own quite a few 4-16GB CF and SD cards. I’m putting them on eBay before I lose more data.
5 Stars AWESOME FAST CARD!!
I have a Canon EOS 1D MARK II that will shoot 8.5 frames per second that i bought this card for. I do a lot of shooting at air shows, such as the U.S.A.F. THUNDERBIRDS, and the U.S. NAVY BLUE ANGELS. In the past I have used various cards including the Extreme II, and ALL of them failed me and were not able to keep up with me and the jets that i was photographing. Many times in the middle of a burst the camera would stop and I would have to wait several seconds for it to finish writing to the card…..which if you have ever shot an air show you know that even ONE second at an air show is an eternity to wait….by the time you blink it is too late you missed the shot!
This card kept up 99.9% of the time. There were only two times that it paused on me at a recent air show, and fortunately that was at the end of a burst. This card is blazing fast and I love it!!!
I am considering upgrading to the 1D Mark III…if I do then I will invest in the Exteme IV, but for not the Extreme III is one AWESOME card. I have two now, and will probably buy another when they come down in price.
If you are considering this card….then BUY IT! You won’t be disappointed!!!
5 Stars Fast Media card
I bought this for my wife’s Nikon D70 Camera. Sandisk has always provided us with excellent service. It was bought as an upgrade and it definately is fast
5 Stars Speed does matter
I have other Sandisk CF cards that have a lower writing speed but as I progress is learning more about photography, the research indicate that faster writing speeds were better for shots that involved wildlife and nature. I purchased what I could afford at this time and was amazed at how much faster this Extreme III card was over my other cards. It worked perfectly and we took over 500 shots in RAW format during a trip to Chicago recently. Great product.
