This is an all-in-one powerhouse. 4 Stars happy and impressed with this printer
My Cannon Pixma MP780 finally gave out after five or six years of good use. I didn’t need all the features on the MX850 but it looked like the next generation MP780 so I decided to purchase it.
I believe this printer will give me many years of reliable performance. The reason I say this is that my old Cannon Pixma MP780 is literally in three major pieces now. I disassembled this earlier generation Cannon to see how well it was put together and I was impressed with the internal workmanship of this line of printers possess. I believe the MX850 has this quality of workmanship and it also.
I was also pleasantly surprise at how fast the new printer prints.
I’m hoping that the new printer will allow me to refill its inks cartridges without getting an error message. I was able to do this on the
Cannon Pixma MP780 fairly easily and it saved me a lot of money life for the printer. These printer cartridges appear to be the same size but they have a chip which concerns me a bit.
The only reason I did not give this printer a five star rating is because my lack of experience with it. I believe five years from now I’ll be a link of this printer 10 star rating if that were possible.

4 Stars Awesome, but one piece of info they don’t tell you…
I love this printer/fax/copier/scanner. Everything functions wonderfully and easily… when it functions! You MUST keep a few extra ink cartridges on hand, because NOTHING will work when one cartridge is empty. Crazy because it requires 2 black ink cartridges – and if one runs out, better have another on hand if you want it to keep printing.
Oh – and when I say nothing works, I mean NOTHING. You can’t even SCAN a picture to your PC/Laptop. WHO designed that? So the first time I ran out of ink, I learned the hard way when I went to scan in an old pic.
Like I said, I do love it when it is functioning, just make sure you keep plenty of extra ink on hand!
2 Stars To Complex
The book which comes with the product stinks. (This is in part because I am dumb when it comes to this type of product.) The serial # which is required when you register the product is “hidden” deep within the “guts” of the product. I purchased this becauese of the Consumer Reports write up on it. I hope I will progress in my knowledge to use it and all of its functions.

Purchased this card for my new Canon SD1100 IS. Card works fine and holds enough pictures for my satisfaction. The SD card that came with the camera was limited to a 32 MB capacity. Not many pictures. I noticed some customers reviewing this item were perturbed by the shipping charges. I paid $2.34 for the card and $5.95 for shipping. $8.29 ain’t bad. My bottom line, still a decent deal. San Disk produces good quality memory cards.

Bought this here on Amazon and this look like original memory card from sony. But my computer will always try to reformat this and will only load up to 3.76GB of data.
My PS3 and VideoCam will format and will tell me more than 7GB is available but will load about less than 4GB and my computer will not recognize this and ask me to reformat again.

5 Stars fast and reliable…great CF card!
I just got back from Kenya where I was shooting photos for my work and also took a lot of personal photos while on a safari. This card was great! I didn’t have any problems and never had to wait for the card to catch up to me. I took nearly 800 photos in RAW without having to fumble around swapping cards while bouncing along in the Maasai Mara. I highly recommend this card.
1 Star Extremely bad customer service
I had one of these cards burn up while downloading pictures. So I lost about 350 images.
But getting the card replaced turned into a LOT of messages back and forth from the “Customer Service” department. They just keep sending stock “Trouble shooting” tips instead of reading my messages or issuing and RMA. They don’t seem to have any intention of replacing the card. And at this point, I’m just going to post the card on the wall of our rental studio with a printout of all the messages from the “support team”
Maybe the 300+ people who use the studio will get the message, never buy Sandisk again.
I own quite a few 4-16GB CF and SD cards. I’m putting them on eBay before I lose more data.
5 Stars AWESOME FAST CARD!!
I have a Canon EOS 1D MARK II that will shoot 8.5 frames per second that i bought this card for. I do a lot of shooting at air shows, such as the U.S.A.F. THUNDERBIRDS, and the U.S. NAVY BLUE ANGELS. In the past I have used various cards including the Extreme II, and ALL of them failed me and were not able to keep up with me and the jets that i was photographing. Many times in the middle of a burst the camera would stop and I would have to wait several seconds for it to finish writing to the card…..which if you have ever shot an air show you know that even ONE second at an air show is an eternity to wait….by the time you blink it is too late you missed the shot!
This card kept up 99.9% of the time. There were only two times that it paused on me at a recent air show, and fortunately that was at the end of a burst. This card is blazing fast and I love it!!!
I am considering upgrading to the 1D Mark III…if I do then I will invest in the Exteme IV, but for not the Extreme III is one AWESOME card. I have two now, and will probably buy another when they come down in price.
If you are considering this card….then BUY IT! You won’t be disappointed!!!

I bought this for my wife’s Nikon D70 Camera. Sandisk has always provided us with excellent service. It was bought as an upgrade and it definately is fast
5 Stars Speed does matter
I have other Sandisk CF cards that have a lower writing speed but as I progress is learning more about photography, the research indicate that faster writing speeds were better for shots that involved wildlife and nature. I purchased what I could afford at this time and was amazed at how much faster this Extreme III card was over my other cards. It worked perfectly and we took over 500 shots in RAW format during a trip to Chicago recently. Great product.
